Medium Echeveria ‘Angel Kissed’ also known as the ‘Pink Diamond’, has distinguished itself from one of its parent plants, the Echeveria ‘Lola’. It has very showy, gray-green leaves that are overlaid with a beautiful pink blush. Each pink-edged leaf ends in a pink tip. This Echeveria is lower growing than the ‘Lola’, with pink margins versus the margins of its parent, and more gray-green in the leaves versus the predominately alabaster coloring of ‘Lola’. It is a more robust grower than the ‘Lola’. This is a new hybrid, very rare and hard to find.
‘Pink Diamond’, it’s principally all about that pink versus the alabaster rosettes of ‘Lola’. ‘Pink Diamond’ displays greater color contrast between its leaves and leaf margins, and there’s a slight upswept look to the leaves. ‘Lola’ blushes more of a violet color in cooler weather. ‘Pink Diamond’ boasts the pink even more in cool weather and manages to retain a pink coloration all year, whereas many other pink-friendly succulents tend to only show their pink side in cool temps. The Echeveria’s combo of pink plus its darker margins, a trait inherited from ‘Lola’, also allows ‘Pink Diamond’ to stand out from other pink succulents. Like ‘Lola’, ‘Pink Diamond’ is perfect for mixed planters, centerpieces, small pots and so much more.
Succulent plants are among the hardiest, most drought-tolerant in the world and very easy to maintain, as long as they are planted in a porous cactus/succulent soil, given proper drainage, daily bright light, and not over watered.
